YouTubes

I finally uploaded some more videos onto YouTube. I still vastly prefer Vimeo, but I guess it just doesn't have as much reach as the YouTubes. Anyways, here they are. The Something Great clip actually looks pretty good in HD on YouTube.

Music Videos

Here's some cool videos I've been enjoying lately...

Lisa Mitchell - See You When You Get Here. A simple concept, very well executed, and visually interesting.

Chairlift - Evident Utensil. This actually looks even more messed up on YouTube than it does on TV. I actually really dig how those temporal compression artifacts (is there a better way to say that?) have been used in this video. I never thought I'd enjoy seeing those things, and it really got me intrigued as to how they achieved the effect. Kind of reminds me of how Hype Williams (and Gondry and probably tons of other people) started using video morphing in a more percussive way, instead of its original purpose.

Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees.

Passion Pit - Sleepyhead. Some awesome zoetrope-esque stuff here.

Internet Things Updates

I've been updating a variety of online things over the new days, including adding some new videos and improving the existing ones.

First off, I've updated my website again. Not quite as drastic a change as last time, but changed the bio and a few other little things.

I've also finally broken down and got myself a myspace. I know, I know... Anyways, you can check it out here.

And finally, for the videos. I've updated the "Fraught" trailer with a better cut, and I've also added extracts of "The Line" and "Neon Blue". Watch 'em while they're hot!
