Something Great Tees - Samples... Part Two
As promised, here are the photos. I guess this proves that having a new dslr doesn't necessarily mean I can take a good photo! Check out the whole range of tees here!
William Montgomery
A couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of meeting Melbourne artist William Montomery. Not only is he a stand up guy, but he's a really fantastic artist! You can check out his work at his main blog and he also runs a blog called Montgomery Today where he regularly posts quick new works. Awesome stuff!!! I really love his style, so get down there and check it out.
Here's a few of my favourites:

D.I.Y Side-Projects
You may have noticed that there is a common theme running through the D.I.Y Side-Projects at the moment: Fundraising. We do know how painful it is to be hit about the head with requests for money, but unfortunately for both you and us, it is a necessary evil.
Vigilantelope are raising money to put on a show in the 2009 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. To help support them, you can buy a T-Shirt from RedBubble, and if you buy it before 11:59 tomorrow night (30th October), you will receive free shipping with the secret code: '100000masterpieces' .
Find out more about Vigilantelope at their blog:
http://vigilantelope.blogspot.com
Or pick up a T-Shirt at:
http://www.redbubble.com/people/scruffian/clothing/1760753-5-vigilantelope
The free shipping deal also applies to the Bianca Chen fundraising T-Shirts, which can be found at:
http://www.chrispahlow.com/somethinggreat/
and on RedBubble at:
http://www.redbubble.com/people/wonderful/clothing/1810932-5-something-great-height-order-penguins-boys
Why not grab one of each, get yourself a bargain, and the knowledge that you are supporting local independent artists? We would highly recommend it.

SMM & Mandurah Short Film Festival
_
Whoops... Looks like SMM screened at the Mandurah Short Film Festival in WA last weekend and we didn't even know it! SMM wasn't listed on the website but it was actually in the downloadable programme. Aprently it screened on Saturday the 25h at around 5pm.
Sorry to anyone in WA that wanted to catch it and missed it because they didn't know it was on. If you did happen to see it, hope you enjoyed it and had fun at the festival!

Being an independent filmmaker actually means you don't spend very much time making films. Most of the time is spent doing promotion, fundraising, etc. So it's always good when you get a chance to get back to what you're actually supposed to be doing...
