Chris Pahlow Website Update

Websites have a funny habit of getting out of date fast. I've been working on a bunch of new projects over the last few months so it's about time I updated my website. I've added some info on the Something Great clip I did for Bianca Chen as well as some other stuff (including my filmography, which, ironically, is already out of date). I also streamlined a few things and changed the interface a bit so hopefully it should work better than ever.

Some very exciting things are on the horizon right now, so check back here and on my official website for updates!

CCCC Year 12 Media Workshop

Last Saturday I headed up to Yellingbo for the annual Caroline Chisholm Catholic College Arts Camp for year twelve students. I ran a day long workshop for six year twelve media students, and covered a range of topics from basic camera skills, scene construction, and a pitch and writing workshop. All the kids were really fantastic to work with and showed a great deal of promise.

All in all I had a great day, and really enjoyed working with the students. The arts camp as a whole seems really fantastic (they also had workshops on a number of other fields including photography, textiles, visual communication, etc). A big thanks to Mark Gustincic and Mark Groves for inviting my down. I can't wait for next year's camp!

Videos of Keith Schofield

Here's a couple of videos from director Keith Schofiled (I posted the video he did for Supergrass a while back). He's able to create a very distinct visual style in each of his videos. So even if you don't dig the songs or the content, there's still plenty of technical expertise you can appreciate.

If you're in Singapore definately get down and check out Dave's film; it's a great piece of work that you're sure to enjoy. Get your tickets here.

I've been lucky enough to work with Dave on a number of projects (I worked as the camera assist on this shoot for a couple of days) so I know from first hand experience the kind of filmmaker Dave is. He's a director with passion and vision, and one you should definitely keep your eye on! So get on down and check out "5films" @ SIFF.
